About Us
"As a 2007 graduate of La James International College in Esthetics and microdermabrasion in Johnston, Iowa, I received 600 combined hours of hands-on and textbook education. My hands-on experience was trained at Tuscany Day Spa with the general public. After graduating, I received my state license in October of 2007. I received my state certificate in microdermabrasion in January of 2008. I currently perform upper back, neck, shoulder, and arm massage at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, IA. I also provide reflexology of the hands. I opened Serenity Day Spa in September of 2008 and I am look forward to providing a variety of services to you."

Eminence Organic Skin Care Facials:
At Serenity Day Spa we are fully trained by Master Hungarian Estheticians and trainers, you will experience the "Hungarian Facial". Unlike any facial you have ever experienced, these facials target the muscles, which means faster, better anti-aging results for you. You can only receive this kind of facial through a fully trained, licensed esthetician, and through Eminence Organic Skin Care.
Each facial comes with a complimentary consultation, a cleansing, toning, treating, massage, moisturizing and protecting service of the face. You also get a neck, shoulder, upper back, lower back, hand and arm massage. I treat dry, oily, normal, and combination skin types. I also treat mature/anti-aging, rosacea, and acne skin conditions. It is important to identify your personal skin type before choosing your products. As a licensed esthetician, I will ensure a perfect match to properly care for your skin.
Just a few of the products used at Serenity Day Spa include 100% organic coconut, lemon, citrus, mimosa, Quince Ice Wine, stone crop, rosehip, wild plum, chamomile, eight greens, pear, blueberry, carrot vitamin, naseberry, seven herb, linden candula, and paprika. All of these ingredients can perform amazing results in conjunction with your own personal skin care regimen.
Each facial starts at $35 and may last from 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on your own treatment. Skin care regimens are determined after your consultation and treatment.
Add on Services
Lip treatments are $10 alone and for only $5 more; can be incorporated into a facial. They include a citrus enzyme exfoliater, a lip plumping masque for comfort, and a citrus lip balm to plump and hydrate.
Eye treatments are $15 alone and for only $10 more; can be incorporated into a facial. They include a naseberry eye exfoliant, a raspberry masque to hydrate and treat crow's feet, cucumber gel to calm and reduce puffiness, and wild plum cream to minimize fine lines, dark circles, and dryness.
AHA and paprika treatments are $20 more and are for those who want to see and feel INSTANT results for anti-aging, fatigued, pigmented, and blemished skin.
Foot Treatment is only $10 more incorportated into a facial.

ORGANIC CHEMICAL PEELS
AHA/PAPRIKA
Performed as an add-on treatment, it will give you INSTANT results that will make your skin look younger, rejuvenated, glowing, and soft.
AHA is a hyperactive fruit pulp peeling treatment that stimulates cellular renewal and brightens the complexion. It clears clogged pores and assists in teating and preventing acne. it also removes dead skin allowing easier penetration to the skin of other products for better results. Lastly, it refines the skin, assisting in the removal of blemishes and the renewal of skin texture.
Paprika is a hyperactive preparation with herb extracts. When put on top of the AHA, it doubles the peeling treatment and works in conjunction with it. Paprika assists in stimulating cellular repair and blood circulation while helping to increase metabolism. It helps to detoxify the skin and to improve acne skin conditions. It also reinforces the skin's natural defensive and protecive systems. It wil increase the absorption rate of other products. You will see immediate skin stimulation resulting in a rosy glow. It will also assist in stimulating oxygenation and blood circulation. You will notice firmer, fresher, smoother looking skin and your complexion is revitalized, youthful, and radiant.
PINEAPPLE 10% PEEL
This includes a series of 5 or 10 weekly treatments, depending on your own skin type or condition. This peel includes a layering of the poppy seed microderm polisher, AHA, pinapple 10% peel, and a stimulant on top. Stimulants rage from paprika, lime, or Hungarian Herbal mud. This peel will leave your skin luminous, firmer, tighter, softer and will improve skin conditions such as aging skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, skin tone and texture, dull looking skin, and grade 1 or 2 acne. It is important to understand that a Sun Block and home skin care is vital to get the best results! Bringing up new skin on a weekly basis will make your skin more sensitive and prone to new skin damage if not properly taken care of.

AHA and paprika treatments are $20 more
Pineapple Peel treaments start at $155 for 5 weekly treatments. This includes: 2/60 min. sessions and 3/30 minute sessions.
5/60 minute sessions start at $180.
1. If you are currently using Retinol.
2. If you have had a chemical peel in the last two weeks.
3. If you just recently shaved the treatment area in the last two hours.
4. If you are under the care of a dermatologist/plastic surgeon and are using any at home "peeling" treatments.
5. If you have a sun/wind burn.
6.If you have a cold sore or do you get cold sores.
7. Any product you are using that contains glycolic acid
BACK FACIALS
Back facials are $35 and last about 1 hour.
This is a perfect treatment for those who have acneic skin, want a back massage and cleansing experience, or for the person who is going to be wearing a backless dress for a wedding, prom, or special event.
It includes a cleanse, tonique, extractions if necessary, seven herb treatment, herbal spot serum, massage, and to finish off with one of our delicious moisturizers.

1.MAKE SURE your hair length is at least 1/2 inch long. If you are getting a bikini or Brazilian, cut the hair to this length.
2.NO bathing before your appointment. This affects how the hair is removed.
3.YOU MAY want to take ibuprofen or Tylenol for pain if you are sensitive
Please wear an old swimsuit or undergarments to your appointment for all hair removal. If you forget, their are undergarments at the spa for you to use.
Reflexology
A Spa therapy that is popular with health-conscious clients. It was used by the ancient Chinese and early Egyptians and Indians to soothe tired muscles and relieve pain. Reflexology technique uses pressure on specific points of the feet, hands and ears to influence specific body conditions. Reflexology releases body-bound energy blockages that can cause irritability, pain, stress, fatigue and even disease.

EAR CANDLING
Ear candling starts at $30 and it takes 1 hour. It is painless and all you will feel is the candle being carefully inserted in your ear. You may hear some cracking and popping when earwax is being loosened. Just relax and enjoy the face and neck massage done during the session. Twice a year we all have our teeth cleaned to keep our mouths healthy. Why not keep our ears healthy with an Ear Candling session at least two times per year.
This is an OLD HOME REMEDY and no claim is made for any cure of any disease or ailment.
Contraindications Are:

3. Any known Open Holes in the Eardrum
Makeup Appliations
A Basic application starts at $25 and lasts about an hour.
Bridal or special makeup applications start at $35. In parties or groups of 5 or more, the Bridal application is FREE!
Princess Parties are FUN for girls of all ages. They are great for birthday parties or just for having FUN! They are $5 per person, take about 10 minutes and include a light makeup application and nail polish application.

What do I need to bring?
Wear or bring a bathing suit or old undergarments for hair removal of the body
May I wear make-up?
You are welcome too, but it will be removed for facial services.
Do I have to disrobe entirely for my treatment?
It is completely up to you, however, a bathing suit or undergarments is suggested. Your privacy will be protected at all times.
Should I remove my jewelry?
It is best to leave your valuables at home. All jewelry will be removed during service.
What credit cards do you accept?
At this time I am looking into the process of accepting credit/debit cards. I do accept cash and check only at this time.
Are gratuities/tips included?
Gratuities are not included in the service price and will be accepted if the client chooses to do so.
